After picking up a rental car we headed South from Seville and on to Cadiz to stop for a lunch break on our way to Tarifa, and to have a quick walk around of this very old Spanish city in Andalusia Spain. In fact Cadiz is the oldest city in Spain to have been continuously inhabited and is one of the old cities in Western Europe. The old town section of Cadiz has very narrow streets and they subtly change direction as you go. It is easy to get lost and kind of fun if you have the time.
Here is where we started. We parked our car down by these waterfront apartments just before the old part of the city.
This is the view looking towards the old part of the town and the Cadiz Cathedral in the sunshine.
Here we are getting closer to the cool looking cathedral.
Below are a couple shots at the Plaza de San Antonio considered the main square of Cadiz.
