Metropol Parasol is a wooden structure located at La Encarnación square that is pretty much dead centre within the old city quarter. The 6 giant parasols look like mushrooms and are connected together. On street level, you will find the central food market. Underground there is a museum of Roman and Moorish remains that were discovered on the site. On levels 2 and 3 you can find a restaurant and on the upper level you can take in panoramic views of the city. Underneath, the Metropol Parasol is a good spot to get some shade on a hot sunny day.
